Private Health Insurance Broker in Utah

Utah’s regulator warns that sponsored search results may imitate the official Marketplace. Caden Douglas, licensed as Joseph C. Douglas, helps Utah residents verify the source, producer, policy, and ACA status by phone or video. He has no Utah office.

Sponsored is not official

The Utah Insurance Department identifies HealthCare.gov as the official individual/family Marketplace and cautions that advertisements labeled “Ad” or “Sponsored” are not the government site. Verify the .gov domain and the agent’s Utah license.

Discount programs are not insurance

UID states that health discount programs are not insurance. Marketplace major medical, off-exchange ACA coverage, employer insurance, Medicaid, and limited products require different documents. Ask for the legal product type before price.

Utah access checks

Salt Lake ValleyVerify exact health-system facilities and specialists.
Utah CountyCheck network boundaries, referrals, and pharmacies.
Weber and Davis countiesConfirm cross-county care and urgent access.
Southern and rural UtahReview travel, telehealth, and non-emergency out-of-area benefits.

Caden serves remotely. Compare annual cost after confirming providers and drugs.

Consultation limits

The call organizes evidence but does not guarantee eligibility, approval, savings, enrollment, provider participation, or active coverage. No separate consumer fee applies; compensation may come from an insurer or distribution partner, and Caden does not represent every plan.

Before relying on a direct or off-Marketplace offer

Ask whether the policy is ACA-compliant individual major medical or a different product. Obtain the Summary of Benefits and Coverage, full exclusions, service area, network, formulary, underwriting questions, renewal terms, and effective-date conditions. “Available outside Open Enrollment” does not prove that a product provides comprehensive major medical protection.

Use the activation checklist to separate application, approval, payment, ID-card delivery, and active coverage. Keep written evidence from the insurer rather than relying on a sales summary.

Health insurance guidance for high-income Utah communities

Highland brings Utah County into a set otherwise centered on South Jordan, Syracuse, and Kaysville along the Wasatch Front.

HighlandVerify Utah County doctors and Wasatch Front specialty care on the exact plan.
South JordanCheck Salt Lake-area facilities, physician groups, prescriptions, and pharmacies separately.
SyracuseReview Davis County routine care together with regional specialty access.
KaysvilleCompare household configuration, total cost, and coverage-start evidence before changing plans.

Community selection applies a 20,000-person minimum to ACS 2020–2024 income estimates. Income does not establish suitability, savings, underwriting, or enrollment rights. Review the Census ACS data program.

License and appointment status can change after this page was last updated (August 25, 2026).
